Vern Biccum

Vice President

Vern Biccum started out with Global Consulting in 2006 as a Senior Project Manager. At that time he managed a variety of pandemic related projects for corporate and government clients. Additionally, he facilitated Global’s pandemic planning workshops and became a member of the Emergency Preparedness for Industry and Commerce Council’s board of directors. At that time, Vern used his training and instructional experience to coordinate the development of an introductory online course, Pandemic Flu preparedness 101, and led a number of other Global e-learning initiatives.

His natural leadership skills helped him to identify and build strategic alliances with third party service providers and as a result he was moved into the role of Manager of Business Development. Since then he has been instrumental in extending the reach of Global’s service offerings internationally and following the start-up of Global’s US division in 2009, Vern became VP and continues to oversee operations of that division.

Vern continues to be active in the development Global’s Pandemic Service offerings including its Pandemic Advisory Services and Corporate Antiviral Program; he successfully directs Global’s business development team, and oversees financial responsibilities for both Global Consulting and parent company Global Medical Services.

Vern has a teaching certificate, a Master’s of Science degree in Biophysics, and an MBA in Executive Management. He also speaks French and conversational Mandarin Chinese.
