Naomi Kajiwara comes from a diverse professional background including athletics, fine arts and public service. She graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics and continued her personal and professional pursuits in both creative and administrative endeavours. She has been employed by the City of Burnaby Parks and Recreation Department for many years, functioning in many roles, from front line customer service to program leader and administrative capacities. In 2003 Naomi had an opportunity to join a professional Japanese drumming group, Uzume Taiko. She has spent the last several years touring locally, nationally and internationally. This experience has been a valuable asset, allowing Naomi to explore new ways to communicate creatively and problem solve for her clients. She still is an active member of the group and teaches locally.
Since joining Global in 2010, Naomi’s role as Operations Coordinator is to assist the Director of Operations with the administration, registration and operational delivery of medical educational programs and workshops.
Naomi is also a certified OFA Level 3 attendant and prior to joining Global, worked in an administrative capacity at Trauma Tech in Vancouver. The daughter of a nurse, she has been exposed to health care practices all her life and believes in a balanced mind and body.
