City of Richmond

Evacuation Plan

Global Consulting developed an Evacuation Plan for the City of Richmond that will help ensure the safe evacuation of residents in the event of a major emergency or disaster.

The plan outlines the multi-agency strategies, roles, and responsibilities for a potential evacuation. It covers issues such as communication, transportation, special-needs population concerns, security and control, and re-entry.

CBRNE Planning

Global developed a comprehensive CBRNE Response Plan and Incident Commander’s CBRNE Guide for the City of Richmond. The plan and guide included:

  • Background information on CBRNE threats
  • A threat assessment process
  • Incident management and response
  • Triage protocols
  • Decontamination procedures
  • Media resources

We worked closely with key first response agencies (e.g., Richmond Fire & Rescue, BC Ambulance Service, Public Health, RCMP), to develop practical plans with integrated/coordinated response roles and responsibilities that will help enable efficient responses to CBRNE threats within the City. Separate workshops were held with stakeholders to develop detailed strategies for triage, decontamination and biohazard response particulars.
