Brookfield Properties

In response to the outbreak of the Pandemic H1N1 2009 virus, Brookfield Properties, a commercial Real-estate corporation that owns, develops and operates assets in major cites around the world, identified a need to build on its pandemic planning influenza and business continuity plans.  The company turned to Global Consulting to further strengthen its preparedness and response strategies.
Global was solicited to:

• Ensure long‐term access to medical direction and clinical expertise;
• Provide on‐call pandemic advisory services before, during, and after an influenza pandemic;
• Develop a planning guide template for building managers of Brookfield Properties; and
• Conduct a formal plan review, or “audit”, to evaluate the practice outlined in Brookfield’s plans, identify potential gaps in readiness, and offer formal recommendations for improvements within the organization.
